utterly devastated this morning to hear that photographer corinne day passed away yesterday.corinne day was the main inspiration for me taking up photography after seeing a documentary about her work back in 2004.
such a loss to the fashion and art worlds but her memory will forever live on through the truly beautiful work she left behind.
rip corinne.

agyness deyn by boo george for love magazine.i hyped it up too much.
they had a lot to live up to.
i'd been talking about it for weeks.
love magazine have let me down tremendously.
my pet hate is when magazines put someone on their cover and then don't do an editorial with them.
thankfully, agyness deyn has an editorial which is amazing.
i can't say much more because i'm still too upset.

so, I'm wondering if anyone else loves Charlotte from this season of Britain's Next Top Model as much as I do?
I am backing her for the win and if she makes it to the final have an inkling that the public will vote for her too. Picking up on previous series of BNTM and ANTM, the girls with the most air time in their little VTs tend to go far or even win (please note this isn't an exact formula - I loved me some Mollie Sue from ANTM "cycle" 6 and she got the boot midway despite clocking up some decent air time). Admittedly, Charlotte isn't the greatest model and I sense she may do some TV work on completion of the show instead of high fashion campaigns BUT isn't it nice to see a model with a bit of spunk and who always leaves the photographers feeling good when she leaves set?
I am sure I'm not alone in this so Julien MacDonald - go fuck yourself.

blake lively for interview magazine by craig mcdean.blake stars in the upcoming ben affleck directed movie, "the town".
the trailer seems to give away the entire plot but looking forward to lively playing a role other than the rich upper-east-side-er.

hollywood ending
sceptically, i sat down to watch the movie "chloe" earlier today which is a remake of one of my favourite french films, "nathalie...". all my fears were realised, it was truly awful.both films tell the story of an older woman who suspects her husband is cheating on her so she hires a prostitute to seduce him and report back with her sordid tales.
julianne moore is an extremely capable actress but she plays the part of the woman scorned too exaggerated and overemotional, whereas her french counterpart played the role with subtlety and poise, making you feel sympathetic towards her.
amanda seyfried is a pretty girl and not bad an actress but she was far too young to play the role of chloe/nathalie, where emmanuelle beart smouldered and gave a sophisticated performance, seyfried annoys and leave you with no pity for her.
in "nathalie..." there is an underlying sexual chemistry with the two women but hollywood being hollywood had to have the characters embark on a series of sexual encounters together leading to the completely ridiculous ending which retracts from the main twist of the story which made the french original so fantastic in the first place.
anne fontaine (director of coco avant chanel) made a delicate, sensitive and classy movie but atom egoyan's "chloe" is just a mess.

game over
with four days to go before it hits newsstands, all eight covers of love magazine's aw issue have been revealed. shown together as a collective, the covers don't achieve the wow factor as the helmut newton esque covers of the last icons issue but i'm still excited.
i'll be buying the agyness deyn cover, i'm probably one of the only people that is actually a fan of the new cropped look and i'm happy she's making a return to the editorial world.
also, pleasing me is the fact that despite what the rumour mill suggested, abigail clancy does not have a cover, i know katie grand likes to play with the worlds of celebrity and fashion but a clancy cover would be taking the piss.
(although i saw a preview of her shoot with alasdair mclellan and i may be forced to eat my words as it's rather good, damn)
