for models these days, it seems to be a prerequisite that they have a gap in their front teeth. opinions are divided on this current trend but it is nothing new, harping back to the sixties when blonde bombshell brigitte bardot was the epitome of vixen and poster girl for female sexuality right through to vanessa paradis in the early nineties.
there is a myth that a gap in your front teeth represents wealth and i'm pretty positive that this ailment hasn't harmed any of these girls' bank balances.
now, if you're like me, when you think of a central st. martins student, you think of a faceless pretentious hipster, the type of person to go to a house party and hog the computer all night watching margiela runway shows on youtube, crying into their wine glass about the beauty of it all.
but the guys over at vice style have done a little shoot with some of the female students of csm, sort of like a high-brow version of the seasonal girls of fhm annual.
and the verdict, they're not all that bad after all.
the jury is still out on the male students though.

rabbit hole is the forthcoming feature film from director, john cameron mitchell. mitchell's previous efforts, hedwig and the angry inch & shortbus, are among my favourite movies and i have high, high hopes for this. i love dianne wiest, edward scissorhands's avon lady and no matter how frozen her face is, i'll always have a soft spot for nicole kidman.
before lindsay lohan could spell fuck-up, she was the original hollywood it-girl wild child. born while her mother was hooked on heroin and a stint in rehab before her sixteenth birthday, let's all take a minute to remember, bijou phillips. i think this will be her year.
my favourite day of the year is just around the corner, halloween. i never did anything to celebrate the event last year so wanted to make extra effort this time around.
the year previous paul and i dressed as our interpretations of models alice dellal and kate moss pre-death or as paul named us, kate's a-mess and alis da-gal. i had orginally intended to portray queen bitch lil' kim but i'm bored of taking the comical look. i say i wanted to make more effort this year but i can't decide whether to dress as pop culture icons, the crow or edward scissorhands. both require minimal effort from me aside from the make-up. 100% more effort intended next year.
